2010, Bloodgush are finally back with their promo contains 2 songs : 1. From Past To Chaos 2 . Vortex of Swirling Thought. This time with their latest formations are : Aep (Guitars) Glen (Vocals) Evan (Bass) and Adit (Drums) playing brutal death metal with different
styles compared to their previous Demo. Now they are combining between brutal death metal with a bit melodic death touch. At the first track - if I do not mistaken, their music can be categorized as melodic brutal death metal, its catchy as hell but somehow still missing it's heaviness. The second track, they're playing a little bit more technical. Glen's growl vocal ability sounds weak in this promo but still quite enjoylable, sometimes I think his vocal sounded more like black metal. You also can hear Glen screaming in this promo but not much. If you are one of brutal death metal fan with some melodic touch, you probably wouldn't mind giving this promo a chance.
I'd like to talk a bit about Glen's role in Bloodgush who also known as vocalist of Dismemberment Torture. If you ever listen to Dismemberment Torture, you probably won't belive the difference between Glen's vocal style in this promo. Yes, in Dismemberment Torture, his vocals sounds more guttural and he doesn't use scream at all. Therefore, Bloodgush and Dismemberment Torture doesn't have any similarity.
Unfortunately, there nothing much to talk about in this promo, its good but not special either. Despite all that, Bloodgush still need to develop their musical maturity, considering the potential they have is pretty good and promising. This promo available only to 50 copies (hand-numbered). Overall, I would give a good rating! GREAT MELODIC BRUTALITY SHIT.
