Reno : Hello Deni Lisain, how are you today? How do you feel about Death Metal Scene nowadays? What Cds are you listening?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : Hello Reno! Before answering, I would like to say thank you for this opportunity! Alhamdulillah I’m doing great! How about you? I hope everything is good for you! Amen. I feel so “alive”, BDM in Indonesia scene has been growing so much! I am listening to Cadavoracity- Remnants of Chaotic apogee.

Reno : Deni, could you tell me about some background in Brutal Mind? Why did you choose Brutal Mind as name of your record label? And how long have you been doing this shit?

Deni (Brutal Mind): Brutal Mind has been founded in 2009, at that time we were only moving important and trading brutal stuff, CDs, Tee shirts, etc. –My biggest interest in Brutal Death has lasted in 2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015! Seven years, Bros!!! HAHA

Reno : What the main reasons for you to had started it?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : It was a hobby! From collecting to selling! Haha

Reno : Right now are you working just in BDM albums? Why are you doing it? I think that you make the BDM as your priority. Correct me if I am wrong haha.

Deni (Brutal Mind) : Yes, currently my only priority is BDM at the moment and yes you are right, basically my point of interest is the Brutal Death.

Reno : Starting from your last few releases, you got such a huge appreciation from the world bdm scene. how do you feel about that? (Perverted Dexterity and Rotten on gore were sold now!)

Deni (Brutal Mind) : Alhamdullllah is happy to see people happy as well with BM release. Also Canabies “Green and Noxious” are being sold. Haha! But we plan to repress “Perverted Dexterity” very soon.

Reno : Who is your first rooster? And how do you feel when you’ve got your first rooster and your first release?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : My first rooster was “Perverted dexterity”. I am happy to see that two young men can work together. The first release was the Perverted Dexterity promo 2012.

Reno : Being a label, what are you looking for in a band? Was there even been a time when some band sent you a final recording but (not like your expectations) it sucked though? How did you handle this situation?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : It must been the composition on the music. No, all the members of the band did a very good job. I am really proud of them.

Reno : What the most frustrating and what the most rewarding about running some label like this?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : No, there’s no frustration about running this label, I’m really enjoying it. The reward was ready when we have met and have known new people, buyers or bands.

Reno : In my opinion, the Brutal Mind album is one of the best Brutal Death Metal records in Indonesia. Have you ever met some loyal customers?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : Alhamdulillah , thank you for the good words! Yes, there are a lot of loyal customers since BM had been founded.

Reno : If you weren’t running Brutal Mind again, what do you think you would be doing in your life right now? Haha

Deni (Brutal Mind) : We would find new experiences and we could try to run another business.

Reno : What we could expect from Brutal Mind for the following month? What releases are planning to do soon?

Reno : We have Cannabies, it’s already out since 15th January. Their debut album has been called « Sativa Syn » and the next would be Blasphemous « Kendall brutal death ». They will be releasing and EP. And also Cruelest « Jember brutal death » promo.

Reno : What do you think about Indonesian metal scene nowadays (in particular the death metal scene)?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : The Indonesian scene is really sick nowadays, there’s a lot of support.

Reno : What is your opinion about illegal download music?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : My opinion is: it really sucks!!! People should buy physical releases.

Reno : Who is the most anticipating Indonesia band on this year?

Deni (Brutal Mind) : Injury Deepen, Reduced and Visceral.

Reno (ISZ) : Thanks for your time! The last words are yours! What do you want to share to all BDM heads?

Deni (Brutal Mind): “Terima kasih atas support anda, semoga ke Brutalan ini, tidak meruban Pola pikir kita dalam berAgama & berSosial” “Kami Tidak Bertanggung Jawab Atas Kelalaian yang Anda Perbuat” “Hanya Hiburan Di Dunia Semata”
