Demi : Helo! thanks for your time. What are you guys doing lately?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Hello! You're welcome. Thank God we are doing good. Currently we are still trying to finish our debut album which will be released soon.
Demi : Please take us through this project's formation history?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Bloodgush formed in Bandung, Ujungberung in mid-2004, early line up is Glenn as Vocal, Dust - Guitar, Dody - Bass and Ties - Drums.Bloodgush play mince core / grind core like Agathocles, phobias, Terrorizer as long as a time and growing with the entry of several elements of punk, death metal and thrash metal, and finally some of our successful track record when it's live. after that Bloodgush Vacuum very long until the end of 2008. When it just stayed Glenn surviving and finding a replacement drums and guitar player. After that, Riki was entered as Guitaris and Oppie as Drums. When it is successfully recorded two songs titled killing for easiness entrant in the compilation Eviscerated Corpse Records (USA) and born against god into the compilation "Panceg dinu galur with other death metal band from Bandung death metal. In mid-2009 Novan entered replace Drum previously held by Oppie. And this formation survived until today is Glenn - Bass
and Vocals, Ricky - Guitar, Novan - Drums. In 2010 Bloodgush experienced personnel changes again AEP replace Riki in the position of the guitar, Adit replace Novan Andrianus drums and enter Evan position as bass, a successful track record that devour flesh of human decapitation. And the line-up has remained until today.
Demi : Where did the band name come from? And what's the meaning?
Ade (Bloodgush) : "Just come to mind", that's what Glen (vocals) has always told us.
Demi : Can you tell us a bit about Bloodgush's new album? about the characteristics of the music, and the materials?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Ow. The album making process through many many years. Stage of the manufacturing process until finally through the recording process. Hmmm about the characteristics of the instrument itself, we do not change in a large scale, but very different from the old songs such as : Born againts god and flesh devour. So keep in mind, there are a bit similarities with the old song with the new ones. Perhaps that was the biggest difference is in the vocals characteristics, speed and the songs dynamics.
Demi : What causes changes in your music?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Perhaps because of the formation changes.
Demi : What lyrical theme are you using for this album?
Ade (Bloodgush) : For the moment we can not discuss about the lyrics that we'll use. We will discuss it after bloodgush album itself is already in your hands personally. It would be very exciting, right? haha
Demi : What's your biggest influence?
Ade (Bloodgush) : We got so many influences! Each member of the band also have their own influences.
Demi : What's your favorite 2014 and 2015 releases?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Personally, I have so many favorite 2014 releases such as : latest album from behemoth, decapitated, alterbeast and many more. But this year, I didn't really pay attention much.
Demi : How do you feel about the Indonesian metalscene lately?
Ade (Bloodgush) : In my own perspective, local metalscene still the same, start from 2010 until today. Just might be the local events start growing really fast nowadays. Development can be seen also when metal music began to be enjoyed by all those who see and hear directly. More people start enjoying metal music :)
Demi : Currently, many metal bands started popping up, do you feel Incontestably?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Not really, instead we are more motivated to work better!
Demi : What's the most important for your band? Release more merch or record more songs?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Producing merch is needed for band, in terms of promotion, and financially. but not meant to be a lot, or it gonna be ended up not going well haha. Abviously, I'd choose to produce more records. We want to be more productive.
Demi : Why do you cooperate with Groupies Merch to release your album?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Because we have a personal closeness with Groupies Merch and some things we can not explain.
Demi : Do you feel the current Bloodgush formation is solid?
Ade (Bloodgush) : From the past until now, we remain solid. Just maybe this time we are stronger than ever.
Demi : Beside making music, do you and the other Bloodgush's members have another activity?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Yap, we have a separate activity outside the band's activities. I myself have activity in home studio recording. Adit and Ale busy with college activities and their own other musical project.
Demi : What's your hope for the Indonesian metalscene in the future?
Ade (Bloodgush) : Our expectations is high. We hope that many local bands that could better known internationally, and we hope that many masterpieces were created, and all the best for the Indonesian metal music development \m/
