Godzick : We're always good.. Currently Godzick are preparing a material for the 2nd album
Demi : Please take us through this band formation history?
Godzick : Godzick initial formation, used only to create a community for a place to hang out. At that time the name Leeming
community. As it's running time, Godzick evolve and unify the vision and mission. After the vision, mission and clarify the rules in, we finally with friends keep making songs in preparation for Godzick's debut album. In mid-2014, we managed to release our debut album titled "RESURRECTION '' and successfuly released by Headbanger Extreme Musick, One label pride in Sukabumi hahaha...
Demi : When are you going to release the new album?
Godzick : Currently still in a recording proccess. Our goal is the album could be released this year.
Demi : For your new album, which label will release the album?
Godzick : For the moment, we do not know, but if the rest of the album is finished, we will look for labels that want to cooperate with us.
Demi : Why did you choose to play Grind/death/thrash?
Godzick : Quite simple, because each member of the band has a different musical taste. The one likes Death Metal and the other ones like thrash or grindcore. And Godzick was born haha
Demi : What kind of lyrical theme are you using?
Godzick : Lyrics themes that we use, mostly telling the theme of social life around, and also about war, and politician greed.
Demi : About your previous album titled
"Ressurrection", do you feel quite
satisfied with your achieved through the album?
Godzick : I am a typical of people who are always dissatisfied, because if you continue to feel satisfied, life is static. So for the next album, Godzick should be more cooler.
Demi : Wherever you've been doing live
performance outside Sukabumi?
Godzick : Bandung, and Jakarta
Demi : What do you think about the Sukabumi's MetalScene lately?
Godzick : Sufficiently developed. And currently, Sukabumi already has a huge metal music festival called "Sukabumi Eundeur".
Demi : What Godzick's biggest influence?
Godzick : Entombed, Napalm Death, Godflesh.
Demi : What's your favorite releases of 2014 and 2015?
Godzick : 2014-2015 Carcass 'Surgical
Steel", Naplm Death 'Apex Predator'
Demi : I'd like to ask, what does Godzick means?
Godzick : Godzick means "sick god".
Demi : What's the most important for you guys? Releasing more merch or record more songs?
Godzick : Better keep making songs as much as possible, merch just as supporter only.
Demi : How do you guys feel about the Indonesian MetalScene lately?
Godzick : Larger compared to previous years, and even now lots of metal festivals got the interest of big companies, eventually result in huge festivals such as : HAMMERSONIC, BANDUNG BERISIK, HELLPRINT, SUKABUMI EUNDEUR. Because they are already aware, now metal music has not a hobby anymore, but the metal has become something that makes money...hahaha
Demi : What's your hope for the Indonesian MetalScene?
Godzick : Get used to buy original products, keep listen to music by purchasing the physical music, NOT MP3. Let's Go Grind!
