Demi : Halo! How are you guys?

Wira (Chancroid) : Bever as good as when getting a chance interviewed by Indonesian Sickness Zine hehehe.

Demi : Tell me about Chancroid's history?

Wira (Chancroid) : When I (Wira) still part of Vomit Larynx and at that time, the band was not that productive, because each of the band members has their own busyness, and then I planning to create another project with the same genre, and then my friend Fiaz from Asilent (Singapore) gave me the name that personally I though it's really nice, it's called "Chancroid". I start looking for additional members and finally I started like a guitarist from Bekasi named Micko (Corrosive) and I called my drummer back from my old band Infinite Torture, Bona. We begin to make the concept for this
new project, but because the lack of
consistency, we finally decided to stop
this project. In 2013, I met a young guitarist named galih, then I re-invite Bona to join, and resume this nasty project again. Because of lack of consistency and a different vision and mission, we decide to fire Galih. And On the night when we fire galih, my old friend from Vomit larynx promote A guitarist with a pretty brutal minded.
Many things we discussed with Hendri
and start writing our songs for at least show our presence. And we managed to record a song titled Coitus Deification Terminology. And the line-up is still survived until now and hopefully for the next decades hahaha.

Demi : Chancroid just released a promo CD. Please tell me the making process of it?

Wira (Chancroid) : For drums we recorded in the EC3 studio by mas bebi as engineer. For guitar, bass, vocals, mixing and mastering process, we did it on apache studio with the help of Je and Ateng of Panic Disorder as an engineer. Actually, this promo is not prepared properly, we happen to have a little money and we started to record them haha. We use the theme about psychological disorders, and STD (sexually transmitted disease).

Demi : Tell me the response you got from metalheads so far?

Wira (Chancroid) : Very unexpected, suprisingly good although it wasn't become a trending topic hahaha.

Demi : What lyrical theme are you using?

Wira (Chancroid) : According to the band's name, which is about Sexual Abnormality and some of the lyrics also tells about psychological disorders.

Demi : What band who influenced Chancroid the most?

Wira (Chancroid) : The almighty Disgorge, Putridity, Enmity, dan Cerebral effusion. We shed our psychopathic side which I
think was the biggest thing that affects
our music.

Demi : After your promo was successfully released, are you guys planning to create a full-lenght and are you gonna keep working with Brute!?

Wira (Chancroid) : Of course. We will maintain our collaboration with Brute! Productions for our debut album.

Demi : Who did the artwork for your promo? Because I think some of the detail and the monsters in the artwork are very identical with the cover of Perverted Dexterity's debut album.

Wira (Chancroid) : really, is it? Hahaha because the artist who did the artwork is the same guy who did the artwork for PD album. He is Rio oscaryzm bouty.

Demi : What's your favorite band from your hometown Bekasi?

Wira (Chancroid) : Asphyxiate, Cadavoracity, Perverted Dexterity, Anthpimedus, Viscral, Abonation,
Fakecivil, Tyranny, Ancaman, Conscience Revolt, and Chalera.

Demi : How is the metalscene near your living area?

Wira (Chancroid) : The scene is crazy! There's a couple band that will release an album in near future such as : Viscral, Abonation, Tyranny, Anthpimedus and hopefully Chancroid too.

Demi : Beside Bekasi, in which cities you've done live performance??

Wira (Chancroid) : Hahahaha so far we've only did 3 live performance.

Demi : What's your favorite releases of 2014 and 2015?

Wira (Chancroid) :
Cerebral Effusion - Idolatry of The Unethical
Asphyxiate - Self Transform From The Decayed Flesh
Indecent Excision - Aberration
Cadavoracity - Remnants of Chaotic Apogee
Sabaoth - unholy divinity
Perverted Dexterity - Primitive Scene of Inhumanity
Carnivored - No Truth Found

Demi : What's your opinion about Brute! Productions?

Wira (Chancroid) : Brute! Productions is very reliable label. For bands that do not want to be intervention, I swear this label is very democratic. Cool to be able to join Brute! the totality of the support are great, and joi can always provide the best solution when our mind meet the dead-end haha

Demi : What's your main goal for this band and what is your future plan?

Wira (Chancroid) : Become a productive band, and can apreciate our work. Our current goal is to finish the album, we've thinking a lot about the concept maturity, and technic.

Demi : What's your hope for the indonesian metalscene?

Wira (Chancroid) : I hope Indonesian bands could have access to show up on the international scene. Either in the form of a CD, cassette or vinyl. And I hope that the international distribution of merchandise and shit are not too difficult to get hahahahaha.

Demi : Ok, thanks a lot for your time! Do you have any last word for ISZ readers?

Wira (Chancroid) : Never be ashamed to do what you like. Satisfy yourself first and then satisfy the others. And 1 more : "no pain no glory".
